Problem

Buyers wanted move-in-ready homes without carrying the renovation risk, timeline or bill themselves. R27 needed a marketing site that made a novel financial model feel obvious in ten seconds — and turned interest into consultations, not brochure downloads.

What we built

A high-contrast marketing site with a live search surface (type · budget · area), a book-a-consultation flow, and content templates for estates, packages and renovations. Editorial hero, sticky nav pill, and a design system that scales as inventory and product pages grow.

Outcome

Live at r27develop — consultation bookings running through the site, ready to slot into an estates catalogue as inventory scales.

The brief

R27 Develop was launching a new way to buy: renovated, move-in-ready homes with the renovation risk absorbed by the developer, not the buyer. It's a smart model — and, like most smart financial models, it's easy to explain badly. The team came to us with a working commercial structure and a small window to launch a marketing surface that could convert real buyers, not just describe the product.

The brief was tight: six weeks, editorial feel, no brochure-download dead ends, and the page had to make sense to a buyer who'd never heard of R27 before. It also needed to hold up when the team started adding real inventory in a few months' time.

What we designed

We led with a single editorial hero — a big, confident sentence about what R27 actually does — and dropped a live search surface directly underneath it. Type, budget, area, in one row. Below the fold, three content templates: estates, packages, and renovations, each engineered to be reused as the catalogue grows.

The site's job in the first viewport is to answer two questions: 'What is this?' and 'What do I do next?' Everything else — the how, the process, the numbers — is one click away, not one scroll away.

What we built

  • Editorial hero with live search and book-a-consultation in the same viewport.
  • Content templates for estates, packages and renovations that the R27 team edit themselves.
  • A design system with tokens, type scale and motion primitives ready for the catalogue and per-property pages.
  • Framer Motion transitions tuned for feel, not spectacle — motion in service of navigation.
  • Vercel deploy pipeline with previews on every branch so the team could review copy changes in context.

Stack and infrastructure

Next.js on Vercel was the right call for a marketing surface that needed to be fast, SEO-legible, and easy for the R27 team to iterate on themselves. Tailwind and a token-driven design system meant that when we added new templates, the visual language stayed consistent without a rewrite.

Outcome

The site is live at r27develop. Consultation bookings run through the page directly, and the templates are already carrying real content. The catalogue slot is ready — when R27 has an estate to publish, it drops into the existing system rather than triggering a redesign.
